CU Architects

Client: CU Architects, an architectural practice run by Chan. Managed and Automated by HOIBOY AI LTD.

The problem

Chan had been meaning to have a website since 2013, when she started her architectural practice. More than a decade of good intentions and never the time to actually get it done. Running a practice eats every hour, so the website kept sliding to the bottom of the list, year after year.

How I helped

HOIBOY AI LTD managed and automated the whole build and launch. I handled the lot: the structure, the content workflow, the automation that turns her drawings and project notes into published pages, and the deploy. She did not have to learn any of it or babysit the process. I built it for her and handed it off, the way the done-for-you automation service is meant to work.

What “managed and automated” actually means

Here is the thing: the site is clean, simple, and it works. That is the point. The clever part is not the page you see, it is the admin behind it.

Clean on the front, automated on the back. A visitor gets a fast, simple site that just works. Behind it sits the real engine: the workflow and automation that builds and maintains the whole thing. The hard work went into building that engine once. After that, keeping the site growing is quick.

Adding one project does the rest by itself. When Chan has a new project to show, I drop it in and the system assembles everything around it. It pulls together the matching council page and its local planning facts, generates the SEO and structured data, and handles all the images the page needs. The regions covered, the homepage selected work, and the councils-worked list all update themselves from that one addition. No hand-maintained lists, no page rebuilt by hand.

Every page makes its own share card. Share a link to the site on LinkedIn or WhatsApp and it shows a proper branded preview, not a stray logo. Each page builds its own card automatically as part of the deploy: a project or service page uses its own hero image, and every other page gets an on-brand card built from her logo, fonts and palette. See the cards on one page.

The council pages keep themselves honest. Those auto-generated council pages are not write-once and forget. Each carries a freshness badge and is re-checked on a yearly cycle against the council’s own live planning pages, so the local planning facts never quietly go out of date. There are 16 council pages and 33 projects running through this today.

Nothing goes live until it passes the gates. Every change runs through about a dozen automated checks before it can publish: structured data for search engines, alt text on every image, image resolution and orientation, brand consistency, and a copy-quality pass that strips the generic AI voice, enforces UK English, and blocks any claim an architect is not allowed to make under ARB rules. One gate strips GPS data out of every photo, so a client’s home location can never leak from an image. If a check fails, it does not ship.

Speed and SEO are measured, not hoped for. On every change the site is scored against hard budgets: largest paint under 2.5 seconds, page weight under 1.5MB, accessibility and SEO both above 95 out of 100. Miss the budget and the build fails. That is the difference between a site that feels fast and one that just looks finished.

Why I do it this way. Anyone can get an AI to produce a website in an afternoon. It looks fine and is quietly slop underneath: broken structured data, bloated pages, missing alt text, the same five giveaway phrases in every paragraph, a client’s address sitting in a photo’s metadata. I build the guardrails and the workflow first, so adding real work later is simple and quick, and the system catches any mess before it reaches Chan’s clients. That is what managed and automated means here. Not a website I made once, but a system that keeps making and maintaining it properly, with me accountable for the result.

The outcome

Her site is live at cuarchitects.co.uk. For the first time since she started the practice in 2013, the work has a proper home online, built the way it should be and easy to keep current.

The site carries a reciprocal backlink to HOIBOY AI LTD, already live, so the link benefit flows both ways.
